Olympus binoculars
These are excellent binoculars. They are light weight and compact, but really have a great range and wiew. Excellent product.

Great Binoculars for the Amateur
These were great. I bought them for wildlife-spotting during a trip to Costa Rica and I don't have anything negative to say. I'm not well-versed in the world of optics, but I am well-versed in the art of complaining and I don't have any complaints. I probably would have noticed immediately if these turned out to be poor quality but I had absolutely no issues. They're light weight, very easy to manuever and the price was great. My only qualm was that i didn't buy two pairs -- my boyfriend and I shared these on the trip so we had to keep readjusting the focus, width, etc., but now I know to buy a second pair for the next trip.

Great binoculars
I bought these for use at the US Open in San Diego last June. They were everything I hoped they would be: light, easy to carry in my pocket, easy to focus, and provided clear, sharp viewing. This is one of the best online purchases I have ever made. I highly recommend them.

not a good buy
I don't know who they paid to write up the recommendations, but I will never rely on them again. I used to use recommendations because I thought that real people did them, but for this product, I think not. It had to sales reps.I see closer with the naked eye than these things. It was a waste of money put the return was a nightmare. They charge 20% if the box is open. Never mind customer satisfaction. How do you determine satisfaction if you don't open the box. We all know how distorting web pictures can be when looking for an item.They are never wha you think they are. Customer satifaction is a myth with this company and I will never order from them again. I should have trusted my first instinct. Never, never again.

Excellent value
I purchased these for use as "opera glasses" rather than for field use. Their light weight (6 oz) makes them easily portable even in a light jacket, though the case comes with a pass-through for attaching to a belt. The clarity and ease of use is typical for Olympus (and above average overall). Next year my sister and her family are going to Africa, and they will be taking them on safari. I have found no shortcomings in my use of them thus far. I would recommend these for anyone but the hardest-core, long distance binocular user.

Terrible Photo Frame; Shockingly Low-Quality
I can't begin to tell you how awful this product is.

First off, a bit of background on your humble reviewer. I'm a self-taught geek who does computer tech support as one of my jobs. I've never met a computer problem I couldn't fix, and I do it on a daily basis, sometimes simply for fun.

So you can imagine my frustration when I purchased this product for my wife's birthday back in June, only to discover that the networking functionality is essentially broken, even with the newest firmware (which is from October 2007, and ships on Amazon's stock of the frames). I was able to get things up and running fairly quickly. The frame connects to the network with WPA encryption and successfully sees the computer. I can even begin playing a pictures slideshow from my Windows Media Player server (which is how you have to set it up to work with a wireless network).

However--and it never fails--the frame inevitably will freeze after so long. Well, it doesn't even freeze; half the time it simply reboots itself and begins playing its built-in collection of stock photos, right in the middle of your network slideshow. I have ruled out networking problems by trying two different routers. Firewalls are not an issue. To make matters worse, sometimes the frame will not pick up on the Playlists you have configured... meaning, they'll simply not show up in the listings. That leaves you to choose "All Pictures", which are then displayed sequentially each and every time. A quick call to product support quickly revealed that they are completely inept and simply reading from a punch list of troubleshooting options ("Sir, I must now suggest that you check to see if the frame is too far from the router.") Eck.

Perhaps this all wouldn't be so bad if there were some way to get the frame to shuffle playback. YOU CAN'T. THERE IS NO RANDOM/SHUFFLE OPTION on this frame. The only way to shuffle your playback is to configure a playlist that is preshuffled via Windows Media Player and then load the playlist onto your frame--if you have so much luck, as many times, as previously mentioned, you can't even get the playlists to show up.

This product is, quite simply put, a piece of plastic trash that hardly even performs its basic functions. The quality control and, perhaps equally disturbing, product support for these frames is bottom-of-the-barrel. I advise you to avoid this product at all costs, as well as any future frames by Kodak. (Their newest line of updated frames still doesn't support shuffle playback by the way.)

I will be headed to CES this week to see what else is available and upcoming in the photo frame market. I am already strongly considering a purchase of a Sony frame to replace this junk. Its ratings are much higher, it reportedly never freezes, and it does include the elusive shuffle function.

Stay away from this product
I have had this frame for 13 months. It broke. I went to get it fixed from kodak and they told me that it is out of warranty and it would cost 0 to fix. I refused to pay them another dime and will buy another manufacturer's model for that same price.

Colours are vivid but not accurate and clipped
One thing that first came to my mind when I turned the frame on and saw my pictures on it is - "Why no one here talks about bad colour reproduction of the frame?" The colour is not natural, and worst of all it is "clipped" (lacks smooth transition). Put a picture with fine variety of shades (for example on a sky) on this frame and you will see what I mean.

The only reason I kept the frame - wifi enabled access to online gallery.

The colours are very poor. (And don't look at those kodak picked demo pictures preloaded on the frame - they are made to look good on it).

The product was how he said it was. I am amazed how fast it got here. I wife loved it.

Poor customer service
It took nearly one month from order date to recieve the merchandise. This created some problems getting the product to Christmas recipents. Products have never been tested.

In addition, the supplier never informed me of the delays. Awful service.

Great HDTV camera
Some of the controls are not that easy to operate from the hand held position. The remote control is nice.

The camera takes beautiful images, still and HDTV, but it takes a while to master all of the controls and video technique in general. Simple mode works well, but you will not see the real potential of the camera until you get into the many manual settings.

God Bless Sanyo for not using AVCHD
A very nice camera indeed, except the stability system everything else works very well. The best feature of this camera is its output format. God bless Sanyo for not using AVCHD -- a format requires not only software but also hardware upgrade if you want to watch your video on your PC.
It's a shame Sanyo doesn't have a Optical stability system, the EIS just doesn't work well, otherwise this would be a perfect camcorder.

The best ever electronic purchased
Awesome quality, portability, better than expected stills, battery life is good but think in buy the extra baterry and also the travel charger.

So simple, record, take the memory card, insert in the PS3 then enjoy high quality videos at 1080P on my Sharp Aquos 46" with awesome quality really good definition of color.

Install on your pc Nero 8 first that came with the camera to avoid the slow download from the camera or from the memory SDHC card reader.

The only issue for that reason i rat 4 of 5 stars is about the issue with the accessorie Sanyo wide conversion lens on the manual can be read is an accessorie for the HD1010 also same for the HD1000 but when i received the lens i notice that the camera lens doesn't have thread to put the lense, so i call today sanyo support and a guy told me that he has in his hands the HD1010 and certified that the camera doesn't have the thread to insert the lens, he ask me for my info for later contact me to see how to resolve the issue.

Great camera
This is a great camera. Exceptional functionality. Easy to use. Wonderful quality. The only problem I've had with this camera is the image stabilization -- it's *ok* but not as good as the image stabilization on my other (cheaper) camera. Other than this minor complaint, I'm extremely happy with my choice of this camera.

Can anyone tell me how fast is one cycle(actual time between taking 1 pic. and take another) of taking photo w/ xacti hd1010 plz?

Had camera for 3 days, used about 3 times and it broke!!!
I bought this little camera to have for New Years... and I used it a few times before the actual day.. it seemed to work just fine.. then I had about 20 great pictures on it.. and I was reviewing them and got a read error... then I turned it off.. and back on followed the instructions on the manual, and still read error took the memory card out still error.. no pics on the internal memory or my card all I get is an error and it wont take more pics.. what a POS.. I returned it. I loved it while it lasted and I am so bummed because I always use me friends cameras and I finally bought my own and was so excited.. if I could get reassurance it isnt a normal thing that happens with these cameras maybe I will change my mind and give it anotehr try.. I just hate to lose anymore great priceless pictures..

Very easy to use
I bought this for my 7 yr old. I was tired of the cheap kids cameras and wanted something that was easy to use and durable. This camera is nice because it doesn't have a telescoping lens. The front face slides left-right to expose the lens. This helps keep the lens protected. It's also cool that the camera automatically turns on when you slide the front face to the "open" position. All these features combined make it durable enough for a responsible kid. My 4 yr old has started using it too.

Great little camera
I received this camera as a birthday gift from my husband. I found the picture quality to be great. My only complaint is that the menus are not so easy to navigate through and I found that more often that not,it was too easy to get my finger on the lens. All in all,it's a great camera. I love the compact size and the bright Wasabi green color.

Great little Camera
Got this camera for my 16 y/o daughter. She loves it. Very thin and easy to operate. Takes great pictures! I highly recommend it.

Good little camera for a great price!
If you are looking for a very inexpensive digital camera to take with you to parties, to sell items on ebay, or just everyday snapshots, this camera is perfect. For apprx 5, you will not find a better compact digital camera for the price. It comes in great colors, it has plenty of menu options, and it takes good videos. If you sell stuff on Ebay, the action mode available on this fuji camera is great. You can take up to four different images on one picture, so that will save you money on gallery picture costs while listing items.
My only cons are that there is a 1-2 second delay between shots, and it took me about an hour to figure out how to navigate through the menus.
But you do get what you pay for, and if you are looking for a regular, everyday camera, this one is good.

Great replacement
Just got it. Two top buttons works great, but I cannot find anything about 3 another buttons. Anyone?

Incredible idea, fabulous item.
Fabulous, pocket size, help you to work off camera not touching it at all and no having troubles with cables. Now I'm sometimes in the photos I take.
Perfect working condition, cheap (not the hard prices of the Canon originals)and battery is available practically everywhere.
I would recommend it for everyone having a Canon EOS.

Excellent Product
I love this camera remote. It actual has more functions than the one Canon sells for my Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D). The range is awesome. I love the delay button... works great when doing self portraits. I use this remote all of the time when I'm shooting from my tripod. I highly recommend this remote to any camera user. So easy to use and it works flawlessly. Very impressed!

Works like it's supposed to
I was surprised that this remote worked so well and was so easy to use. It works wonderfully though - there was no set up required, I just had to turn my camera on and to the timer setting, push the "S" button on the remote and it worked right away. It seems to work from a reasonable distance (15-20ft). Definately worth the money!

The only negative is that you can't use it to focus the lens (product isn't supposed to do it). So if you'll be shooting pictures of yourself or other situations where you can't focus the lens on the object first, you might look at a different shutter release control that will do a half release.

Works Great
I used this last weekend at the grand canyon. It was very handy and a great value. I look forward to using it for portaits.

Great camera - wonderful pictures!
First, let me tell you my one and only problem. In low lighting, the flash automatically turns itself off. However, if there is even the slightest light (i.e. a candle or distant streetlight), the flash doesn't work, producing a bad picture. Does anyone know a way around the automatic flash? Is there a way that I can make the flash stay on no matter what?


Other than that, this camera is wonderful. I bought it at Walmart after debating on another cheap camera or spending good money on a nice one. I'm glad I made the decision I did! The lithium batteries that are required are a tad bit expensive, but have a good battery life, so that's okay. The video function works well - it doesn't replace a camcorder by any means, but it does what I need it to do. The HD videos look great, even after YouTube's compression!

Also, as previously stated, an 8GB card does cause a bit of lag in the processing, and it seems to lag the camera by about 10 seconds when turning it on, but I can live with that. However, if you need quick access, I reccommend using a 2gb card.

If anyone could let me know about the flash issue, that'd be great. :)

okay, but not great
I bought this camera so I could take detailed macro photos of my design work. And for that it works well. And for taking photos of my kid it works well (scene settings like "sport" and "children" are nice). My only gripe about his camera is the flimsy lens cap and view finder piece. The lens cap broke off from the strap so now when it falls off (which is often) I'm afraid I'll lose it forever. And somehow my kid managed to pull the cushioned viewfinder piece right off and I can't get it back on for the life of me. And both of these issues happened with what I call light use so just be aware of this when buying. This was my first Kodak camera and I probably would not buy another in the future. I kinda wish I had spent a bit more money for a Canon or Nikon.

I'm returning this camera
Do not buy this camera. I spent some time reviewing the product and should have paid attention to the issues with the battery life. I have gone through sooooo many batteries, that this camera is becomming too expensive. I can only get about ten shots per set of batteries. If you are carrying any extra batteries to a soccer game, there is something wrong. I am now searching for a new camera!

WOW- This camera rocks
I ourchased this camera earlier this year. I wanted to try it out in different situations before I write my review. All I can say is WOW! This camera is the best digital camera that I have owned. I use smart capture almost all the time, and all pictures come out amazing.

What I like about the camera
1) The Zoom- I love the zoom on this camera. It is what drew me to buying this camera
2) Picture quality- amazing
3) 2 viewfinders- I love having two viewfinders so I can use the eye-level one when there is too much reflection on the LCD
4) Ease of use- I find this camera very easy to use

I did not like the fact that this camera came with a one use battery. I bought a Kodak rechargeable battery when I bought my camera. Other than that, I love everything about this camera.

If you are in the market for a new camera, I highly recommend this one.

On/Off Switch Doesn't Work
I've been looking forward to experimenting with photography with this camera and received it for Christmas yesterday. After taking a few pictures, it shut off. The battery that it came with was bad, so I put new lithium batteries in it and it would only turn on if I put the dial on "sports mode". I took a couple of pictures before it shut off again. The on/off switch is odd. It stays in the "On" position regardless of whether it's on or not. When I move the switch, it turns on and immediately back off. I'll be taking it back. Does anyone have any recommendations for a higher pixel camera with high zoom?

SanDisk card without micromate
I just want to let people know that I am truly happy with the memory card, it takes long videos and stores lots of pictures. Unfortunately when we ordered this, Amazon claims that it comes with the micromate reader, yet we did not receive it in the package. We contacted Amazon and they told us we could return the whole thing. When we contacted SanDisk to see if they could just send us a new micromate since it looks as though the factory didn't package it properly, they refused. We then decided to order a new one from a different Amazon seller and guess what, we didn't get the micromate in that package either. I don't know what to think. San Disk claims its Amazon's fault and each replacement order I get from Amazon keeps coming without the Micromate reader. Below is showing in a paragraph that Amazon does indeed include the Micromate reader which is published on their product webpage:

Bought couple of SanDisk 4 GB Extreme III SDHC Card (SDSDRX3-4096-A21, Retail Package). They have been extremely useful and I don't have to switch the cards often, in my camera.

I would definitely recommend them.

I was torn between ordering this one and another one I saw on line that was about 3 dollars cheaper. I ordered this one after reading the reviews and am glad I did. Both my cards came with a small card reader, I admit I didn't know what that was initially was, but now I can't live without it. I'm not an expert photographer but I can see the difference in my photos when I download them onto my computer. Best of all the card reader comes with a little keychain size cover for my card reader so I can easily take my card and card reader in my purse to the photo shop. it's awesome! i highly recommend it

don't fit much
works well, just doesn't fit much except an adapter!
save your money on products that won't accept a SD card and use this oddball memory stick, it's like having a betamax in a VCR world.

sony memory stick
Works like it should in the sony camera it was meant for. I docked one star because it has two pieces. Why sony did this I don't know. It's one other thing that gets lost or you forget to bring.

Up to the challenge...
The Sony 4 GB Memory Stick PRO DUO is quite the compliment to the Sony Cybershot Camera I purchased. The capacity alone is worth the investment! The Camera & the Stick mesh so well to save & retrieve shots/videos that the user doesn't have to wait lengthy periods (say, 5-10secs!) to shoot/access shots/videos...

This, together with the fact that the Stick allows for a quick transferral of shots/videos to & from your PC, makes for a satisfactory investment.

Must get this card for your Olympus
This is the only card can hold 2GB data for Olympus camera. It comes in a new original package. Fast and reliable card for a nice price. Make sure you get an extra one for a spare.

SUPER AAA+ "Shock and Waterproof" more durable
it's ultra compact shock, crush, dust, freeze and water proof body. The camera is very compact and very pocketable is stylish good 2.5" screen manometer to provide depth information under water (or on land), and a new macro LED illuminator. very well built, comfortable to hold is easy to use, the menu system is easy to use and there is a good layout of buttons and controls, with numerous scene modes and a digital anti-shake mode to help get better shots. speed is good, with excellent shutter response, good flash recharge time, slightly sluggish / slow playback mode, quick menus, fairly slow continuous shooting at full resolution, and a very fast high speed shooting mode at 3mp. Battery life is average. The cameras video mode is fairly frame rate compared to other digital cameras.
REALLY GOOD CAMERA for the price.

Great Addition to my Olmpus Camera!
I bought this along with my Olympus Stylus 770SW 7.1MP Digital Camera and it was the best combined purchase I have made this year. The camera rocks and with this card it holds over a thousand high quality pictures and lots of videos too.

xD card
As a memory card, there is little to review - it works. However, I the format of the card is such that few computers or card readers are adapted to read it. Manufacturers should not proliferate multiple designs for memory cards.
