Bad for Nikon Coolpix S600
I bought these to replace Nikon EN-EL10 batteries for my Nikon Coolpix S600. The specs say that they replaced Nikon EN-EL10, so I figured, why not, this product was one of the cheapest online. After owning these batteries for a few months, I have to say that they almost don't work with my Coolpix S600. They charge as usual, but work intermittently with my camera. Sometimes it won't turn on at all, and sometimes it will turn on only to shut off soon after. I might as well wait for the original battery to recharge in a few hours.

If you use this camera, I would recommend the actual battery as backup, or try one that is only Nikon compatible, not both Nikon and Olympus.

Functions
Battery works but does not last as long as the olympus battery. For the price, it is well worth it. I carry both in my camera case.

Work fine, but a bit short on actual capacity
A previous review was skeptical that the "1000mAh" rating was for each battery. I'd agree -- I did try one of the two batteries, and I'd estimate it lasted 1/3 to 1/2 as long as my original Olympus battery. The original Olympus Li-42B that came with my camera isn't even a full 1000mAh. It's possible 500mAh each is right, but even that might be a tad optimistic.

For the price, I have no complaints, and they're fine as backup batteries in case of emergency. But you might consider a single battery with a larger capacity could be more useful.

No marking of mAh on battery
Not sure if these are 1000 mAh each or 500 mAh each. Product listing has little description and no marking on the battery. They seem to charge very fast so I suspect they are 500 mAh each. But the price was low so it's not so bad. Haven't used them much yet so not sure how long they last compared to my other batteries.

Olympus FE280 - Not recommended
I got this camera as a gift. My 1st digital camera, I was still attached to film! I was reluctant to make the switch because I though I'll loose that "photographer eye" by clicking in every direction I wanted and not have the danger to run out of film. But I kinda of changed my mind after using a digital camera and seeing the fairly good printed copies. After using my Olympus FE 280 for a couple of month I do recognize the value of point and shoot digitals when it comes to: you simply put it in your pocket, you can see the frame right after and check if you got it right, and after all some pics do come out ok. But when I want more elaborated photos I still carry my Canon EOS 500 and set of lenses (which now I'm considering substituting for digital).
But still the Olympus FE 280 is not the best option out there and for 320 bucks (what?) you can get better camera.

Cons: eternal lag time, very bad in low light conditions (focus take forever and even so many pics came out blurry), not the best lens , in less than 1 year the focus in macro/super macro function stopped working

Pros: great pocket size, fairly good pics during the day, easy to use menu and buttons, ok software, great battery life

Good Camera, here's why
For reasons that would be useless and boring to this post, I've had five digital cameras in the last five years (Panasonic, Pentax, Panasonic, Olympus, Panasonic). I've also tinkered with family versions of Sony, Kodak, and Fuji cameras.

Panasonic cameras are the best. Period. There is no point in me posting about them, because everyone else has. And I have one with a large Leica lense, and I use it regularly for low-light situations.

But if you want a really great, tiny camera, think Olympus.

For a small, super-portable camera, the FE-280 has met all my expectations. Yes, it has a tiny, very tiny, lense. That means indoor shots will not be that great. But otherwise, the pics outdoors are fantastic. Even indoor shots have some depth. If you want crazy-good photos, get a Panasonic with a large Leica lense.

Best Advice if you have an FE-280:

* Use the Sports Mode for everything.
* Use the Indoor Mode for everything else in low light.
* Video is very good in the second setting. The low setting is horrible.

Forget the other fancy settings, except maybe the "behind the glass." That one was pretty cool for our daughters, especially with the monkeys at the zoo.

For those thinking the camera hasn't worked for you, here may be a few reasons that possible buyers might consider:

* Are you using the camera wrong?
* Have you tested it with the different settings?
* Did you expected to get a tiny pocket camera with big-lense capabilities?

For the meager price, you get much more than anyone can ask. My pics are almost always flawless, and you can't beat the portability.

It is darned tiny.

Liked it when it worked
I got this camera right before Christmas and it worked for about a week or two and then it broke. The shutter/zoom button broke and then you either couldn't take a picture or couldn't zoom in or out. I tried returning or exchanging it and was unable to. Now I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to deal with the Olympus warranty.

Great Gift
I purchased two of these for Christmas Gifts. They loved them and the camara is so compact they carry it every where. Great Photos and a great price.

Great Camera
This Camera is great for everyday use. It has great stability so that pictures do not blur easily and takes sharp crisp pictures. I would def. recommend this camera for any first time user. Its a great product.

Best Macro lens out there
I was amazed by the clarity of my macro as well as the protraits. Later I learned that this can very well be used for protraits and expect a great result. The photos which I took with this (almost 2000 or more) are amazingly high quality.

DOF pictures came out to be the best with this lens.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into
The E-520 was my first dSLR (10 days ago) and the 50 mm f/2.0 was the first lens I put on it. Having just migrated, or upgraded, from a "bridge" camera (Panasonic FZ18), the whole setup just blew me away. I never thought I would like macro shooting as much as I am liking it (I was always a "zoom" person): I can actually see things through this lens, and on the computer afterwards, that I'd never noticed before. All the images were sharp as a tack, with wonderful contrast and color and a wealth of detail. I'd say that using this lens is all about enjoying photography, no matter what the user's level of expertise is. This may not be a pro's review -- nothing could be farther from that! --, but I hope it is useful for you.

Fantastic image quality
Wow, what can I say? The image quality of this lens is stunning. I've never taken such great photos. Only con is that the autofocus is a bit slower than I would like so some of my kid photo's don't come into sharp focus - but this means that I'll have to do some F-stop/Aperture changes myself. Bokeh is incredible.

Five star product, but, (and it's a big but)...
I actually decided not to buy this, and bought the 35mm version instead. It's still an Olympus, it does great macro, it costs less than half what this one costs, and it's actually more usable as a stand-by 35mm, (70mm in old speak) lens, it's not too tele-photo, whereas this lens comes out at 100mm in old speak, and it is definitely a tele-photo lens and would not be much good as a stand-by.

Now this lens has a better luminosity, f2 against f3.5, than its cheaper brother, so it'll work better in low-light conditions. But there again it will give you less depth of field, so focussing on all a subject might be less fun than with the cheaper lens.

There you go: two fabulous Olympus lens. One is half the price of the other, but they don't do precisely the same job. They both have weak and strong points when directly compared. Enjoy choosing! (I'm a coward: I hooked each up to my E420 body, right there in the store, and let them "make" the decision for me...)

A gem - no four thirds user should be without it
If you only use zoom lenses this will be a revelation. Perfect for both pictures of people and macro work or anytime you need a faster lens. A great bargain and should be the first lens you buy after the kit lenses.

Great Battery Pack
This battery pack works great with my 560-UZ. They last much longer than standard AA's. I use this for my sons football games and the re-chargeable batteries last the whole game and much longer. I don't have to worry about missing a play while trying to change the batteries anymore.

Nice batteries and carry case for them.

Needed a AA charger for use with my camera in the US and Europe. With a adapter, it worked well, is light and compact.

I really have not had sufficient time to test the batteries and charger
because the original batteries that were in the camera have lasted such a long time.

pleased, few complaints
This replaced my Olympus Stylus 710 that was dropped 1 too many times in the 2.5 years I owned it. During those 2.5 years it had traveled all over North American and to 3 other continents and served me very well.

Very small, very easy to use, tons of features and settings yet easy to just point and shoot (which is largely how I use it).

The benefits of the Stylus 840 over the older camera are more optical zoom, larger lcd, and more megapixels (though for my purposes, ~6 MP is more than enough; picts with this at the highest setting are close to 2MB). There are a few other nice new touches too.

Biggest draw back? Olympus dropped the All-weather protection which is VERY disappointing and why went with Olympus in the first place. In fact, if I didn't already have a case, extra batteries, 2GB memory cards, and familiarity with the controls from my earlier Olympus, I might have considered a Canon.

With that said, I quite like the Olympus and have no regrets or complaints with the quality of the picts.

Great camera!
This camera is great for everyday users. It's relatively simple to figure out but has more complicated features for the more advanced user. The in-camera panorama feature is one-of-a-kind! The image quality is great. Slim and portable. The battery life is very decent.

Love this camera!
I love, love, love this camera. It takes GREAT photos! I have been amazed! It's fun to experiment with all the extra settings but works awesome on automatic. A friend purchased a similar camera the same time I purchased this one. We compared photos and features and she immediately returned hers and traded for this same camera. I highly recommend it!

Awful Picture Quality
I was highly disappointed in the photo quality of my new Olympus Stylus 840. It takes the worst, grainiest pictures I've ever seen! I have no idea what camera the people below are reviewing.

Works well
This works just as well as the charger that came with the camera. Great for charging back-up batteries!

Must have for Olympus 1030SW
The Olympus 1030SW is a great camera, but with it's flat profile the LCD is likely to be scratched if the camera is placed down somewhere. I can also see that the lens may be scratched as well. This silicon cover fits like a glove and provides the extra cushion to help prevent scratching.

It takes a minute to get used to since the dial is now 3/4 covered, but the buttons are just as easy to use and are still visible through the cover. I was worried how the cover would handle water (since this is an underwater camera) but I have had no drawbacks with using the cover with the camera underwater.

The only problems I have with it is that the cover also covers the USB port and the battery/media card compartment. A minor inconvinience though.

Would highly recommend this product along with the 1030SW.

Fits great, but for how long?
On my vacation, I just kept my camera in my pocket at all times in water out of water with just this case on it and it protected it very very well. The only thing I didn't like about it is that to get to the battery etc. you have to take the skin off, which isn't too big of a deal, I'm just not sure how long it will last with taking it on and off....

Oh and to get the camera fully dry I found that you had to take it out of the skin after a good swim.
