Okay for someone starting into amature photography
I used a few of these items and gave the rest away. The bag is great for a "point and shoot" camera. I still have the filters which are decent. It would have been better just to purchase the items I needed.

Best kit I've seen
This kit is amazing! It took my photography from an occasional thing to a serious hobby. I am even thinking about doing it as a career because now I see how good my photos can be with all the different tools and lenses.

Good Item Value Priced
I was very happy with this product, the only thing I was disappointed in was the table top tripod. I just didn't invision how small and unstable it really was, I would not dare trust my camera on it. Other wise I'm very happy with the price and products I received. Highly recommend.

I had some trouble (operator error) and they went way above and beyond what would be expected to help me correct my error. They are kind, courtious, and very helpful. I am very pleased with their product also.

disappointed
I got the box today. Although I did get what was pictured & listed in a timely manner, not one lens or filter provided fits my camera right out of the box (I have the Kodak z1012). It did have some lens adapters in one of the lens boxes but neither of them fit either. It also is listed as a Samsonite bag & I got an off brand pleather bag instead. I am headed off to a local camera store to see if I can find a lens adapter. I've been saving for months for the camera & the accessories. It's disappointing that they don't work without spending more money.

Rototrim
I have used a small roto trim for at least 16 years and it is still going strong. But I needed a bigger trimmer for bigger projects and so it was not difficult for me to decide on the larger 24-inch cutter. It is far superior over other type of cutters. And with some research on the net I was able to buy this unit new at a large discount.

Most accurate cutter I've found
After trying every kind of paper cutter out there including straight edge and Exacto knife, this one wins for accuracy and it's ability to handle heavy stock. It cuts Hahnemuhle 308 watercolor paper with ease. No complaints.

This is a great product. It makes final product processing truly a joy. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny. I can cut pictures and get them framed so quickly people are asking me for more! CLEARLY WORTH THE MONEY. I AM A HIGH END AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER.

I love this paper cutter. Once I figured out you can only go in one direction..duh. Very clean cuts, easy to read grid.

As good a lense as ANY
I used it briefly because it's a Christmas gift for my wife, but when I used it ,it took some great pics. Can't wait for Christmas so I can use my wife's gift! Happy Holidays!!

Great lens for the price.
I purchased this lens for my Evolt E300 Olympus and I'm really happy with it. I'm sure the Zuiko Macro lens is much better, but for the price of this lens you can't go wrong.

I purchased this item as a gift. It was delivered promptly to the receipient. The individual was so pleased as everything required was in the package, no other purchases were required and they have been "experimenting" with all of the features on the cameraCanon PowerShot A580 8MP Digital Camera & Opteka 1GB Professional Accessory Kit. I would recommend this not only as a gift, but as a purchase for one's own use. I think it is great and wish when I purchased my camera there had been an option to purchase all of the accessories at the same time. Nice idea and convenient too!!!!

Not as advertised
Caution-this is not a Sony product from Blue Nook. It is aftermarket with prominent fish eye distortion. I am returning it and hopefully they will correct their listing.

Works just fine. No need to spend big $$$.
I've used QSee products before. This one had to replace a burned out camera. Out of the box I plugged it in and it worked. I had to readjust the focus and zoom, but that wasn't an issue. Be aware that like any lower cost camera, these don't always last for years and years. This one replaced the same model that was in use for about 18 months. This one is still working though.

Saved my lcd
This lcd protector is really nice and looking through the pictures you take, the quality of the images is at least as nice as w/o the cover.

So I am buying a new one of these because of a bonehead move where I hit the release of my tripod w/o holding onto the camera. Probably a total fall of 3 feet.

The glass itself was pretty much ruined. After freaking out and thinking happy thoughts, I slowly removed the glass and, amazingly, the lcd was fine (luckily so were the camera and lens).

I don't know for a certainty that the lcd would have been damaged from the fall, but for < 25 bucks, why risk it?

If you are immune from the sorts of incidents this product seems to protect you from, then you won't need it.

Excelent
This is an excelent accesory kit, you get a lot for the price, as mentioned in another review, the wide angle converter separates to a macro lens which is another extra not mentioned in the product details. And the adapter ring is included.

Great kit for the price
I bought this kit to take with me on a S. African photo safari and it worked out great. I was able to take some great closeups of different animals and the photos were perfect. The only thing is the I didi not like the fact that the adapter for the lneses seemed to fit a little lose and not as snug as my brothers canon brand set but the pictures turned out equally as good.

Starters pack
I've bought this kit didn't knowing that the adapter would be included so i bought a seperate adapter that is Canon LA-DC58H Conversion Lens Adapter for Canon G7 & G9 Digital Cameras ...

Well, i ended up using the adapter included in this kit because the seperate adapter is made of plastic and when you fix a filter from this kit with that plastic adapter ... it jams and gives me a hard time seperating the filter from the adapter.

Do not buy an adapter because there's one with a good quality included in this kit ...

One more thing ....the adapter blocks the flash especially when you want to take a macro shot where you have to bring the camera really close to an object .. the flash will not reach it because of the adapter ....

My advise to you is to buy a slave flash such as Cameta Digital Slave Flash + Sunpak Grip + Case + Accessory Kit for Canon PowerShot A470, A460, A550, A560, A570 IS, A580, A590 IS, A630, A650 IS, A710 IS, A720 IS, G7, G9 Cameras

Or a Canon Speedlite flash would be better because it would fit better with all canon cameras incase you change your camera in future ...

Problem
Most of the stuff in this kit is great. I was surprised by the quality of the camera bag, tripods, cleaner kit etc.

The only problem is that it doesn't come with the lens adapter for the Opteka wide angle and teleconverter lenses. I went to a camera store to buy one, but the Canon lens adapter doesn't work with the Opteka 2x teleconverter lens. There isn't enough room for the G7 lens to extend before it bumps into the teleconverter (and puts the camera into damage control shut down mode).

The Canon 2x teleconverter (which costs much more), is designed slightly differently so it works with the Canon lens adapter.

The Canon lens adapter does work with the Opteka wide angle adapter, but it's disappointing not to be able to use the 2x teleconverter.

Great deal for the price
I bought this item from 47th street photo for 89.95, and it is definitely a good deal. They were also very helpful in shipping, as I had to change the shipping address after ordering so my package would meet me in Hawai'i.

On to the package:

Lenses: This kit comes with two lenses, a wide angle .45x and a telephoto 2.2x lens. What the description doesn't tell you is that the wide-angle lens actually is two-in-one, with the front unscrewing to reveal a macro lens. The quality of the lenses is not surprising, considering the price, and I have yet to actually measure the effective change they have on FOV, but there is a noticeable difference. The wide-angle has some blurring around the outer edge of the viewable area, while the zoom lens introduces some noise at the far end of the zoom. The nice thing about the lenses is that they are threaded at both ends as one would find with SLR lenses (and something not found on Canon's equivalent ones!). This is something else not mentioned in the description. The thread diameters for the three different lenses (counting macro as its own), is as follows: Macro - 52mm, Telephoto - 62mm, Wide-angle - 72mm. Overall, the lenses do seem to have an effect, but don't be expecting pro-level results.

Filters: The kit comes with three filters in the 58mm size: a polarizing filter, a UV haze filter, and a color-warming filter. The polarizing filter does work (as can be noticed in the histogram as the filter is rotated), although not as spectacularly as I was hoping. The same goes for the UV filter, although it does help cut down that wonderful blue halo. As for the color warming filter, I have yet to determine if it has any effect. The quality of all three is appropriate for the price, as it was with the lenses, and they do tend to introduce some noise/blur into the picture (although you do have to be way past 100% zoom when viewing to notice). They are all threaded on both ends, allowing you to stack filters, or even put one of the lenses over the front of one (although it does change FOV among other things. A good deal for the price, as a single one of these filters could cost as much as the package price by itself.

Tripods: The kit comes with two tripods, a small 6" flexi-shafted table-top tripod that is a lifesaver when carried in your camera bag (think self-timed photos if there is no other person around to take a picture with you in it). The legs are not as flexible as some of those wrap-around tripods that can cling to anything, but they are flexible enough to be set-up on non-level surfaces and still keep the camera level. The larger tripod is a standard three-section-leg collapsible, with a three axis head. The action on the head swivel is a touch sticky, but it doesn't matter unless you are using it for film, and even then, it's not that bad. There is no bubble level though, so you are left to determine that yourself.

The other stuff: The lens/filter adapter, the metal tube that fits over the lens of the G7 to allow the different lenses and filters to be attached, is a bit loose on my camera (read: minute but noticable). I have yet to tell if it is having any adverse effects on the pictures, but it would be nicer if it fit really snuggly.
I haven't used the lens cleaning kit, but judging by what it looked like when I opened the box, its probably about the same quality as everything else in the kit.
The last final thing is the camera case. It is a nice case, but the shoulder strap is a bit odd, being somewhat crescent shaped. It doesn't fit and stay on my shoulder well. The inside of the main compartment has two moveable padding walls to change the dimensions, which is nice if you intend to use it for something else than your G7. It's got two side pockets on the sides that you could fit the lenses in, and a zippered net pocket inside the main one for your filters. There is one more pocket across the whole front for whatever else strikes your fancy.

So, overall, the package has quite a lot of things it it for such a low price, and they all do their job. If you're not expecting pro-level results, then this package would be something worth considering, especially if you want to get some experience before moving up into the dSLR world.
